“Chogam Trungpa Rinpoche, who has some inspiring thoughts on the image of the sun, is quoted by Pema Chodron as saying, 'Hold the sadness and pain of samsara in your heart and at the same time the power and vision of the Great Eastern Sun. Then the warrior can make a proper cup of tea.' Samsara refers to the repeated cycles of existence, and Chodron interprets this as meaning that if you can maintain a hopeful, positive vision even while acknowledging the fundamental 'sadness of human life,' you can carry out the rituals of daily living in a more skillful manner.”
