Sometimes there are times when we know we have to share. Oh oh, I've got a good story! But you keep quiet because the conversation has moved, you change your attention and it vanishes out of your head, for you to remember only later when you no longer have anyone to hear. Oh you still enjoy it personally of course, but it sits there, this gift you had to give to the world, and you can't help but be a little sad to have missed the chance to let it leave your hands.
But you start to think. A gift? Isn't that a little egotistical? Like you are so special to require that everyone listen to this gift you feel so compelled to give. Seriously? Who do you think you are anyway?
But you had something to say and the truth is that's not up to you. It's your perspective and you've been given it. And dammit its your right to give it to other people, too. It's your directive.
As long as you find the right outlet. Hey, that's what you need! An outlet! To share your thoughts to the world, when the conversation has lulled and people are on the internet seeking entertainment hungrily, desiring to take a little nibble of something someone has to say. It's gotta have the right flavor though, the right voice.
I have a voice. It's taken me years to let it out of its cage, but we all live in freedom. It is only I who keeps the jaildoor closed. I'm free to go whenever I want.
I release my voice.
The spell is broken.
It's amazing what a few words can do.
